About Me

Joannah Clemente is a writer for DIG Magazine, a freelance journalist for Community Sentinel Media and a current TV intern for A Hot Set, where she is gaining hands-on experience in media production and storytelling. In March 2026, she earned third place for Interactive Graphic from the California College Media Association, recognizing her strength in visual and digital journalism.

She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism at California State University, Long Beach, where she continues to develop her voice in storytelling, editorial writing and community-focused reporting. She previously served as Opinion Editor for the Long Beach Current, leading commentary and contributing to conversations on issues that matter to her audience.

Clemente earned her Associate Degree in journalism, graduating magna cum laude from Riverside City College, where she worked as a reporter for the college’s Viewpoints publication and built a strong foundation in news writing and reporting.

Her work focuses on feature writing, opinion and community-centered storytelling, with an emphasis on highlighting underrepresented voices and meaningful local issues. She is a recipient of the PRSA Inland Empire’s Rising Star Scholarship (September 2024) and the Community Colleges Public Relations Writing Scholarship (April 2024), reflecting her dedication, growth and commitment to the field of journalism.
